One of the easiest ways to update a Kitchen or Bathroom look while saving thousands of dollars is to Refinish (Paint) the Cabinets. We have perfected a multi-step process that will give you an updated look in weeks, not months.

1. PAINT: A satin or semi-gloss paint should be applied to the cabinets. This will make them washable in the future. When selecting a paint color we recommend colors that represent your personality. A current trend is Light colored uppers and Bolder colored lowers. This method of design often makes a room look larger and more vibrant. Darker colored bottoms also help hide children's hand prints, wink, wink.

2. START: The process is relatively simple. Once your colors are selected, one of our professionals will remove all hardware, cabinet doors, and drawers and take them to our spray shop. The remaining cabinet boxes will be cleaned/ de-greased and sanded with fine grit paper utilizing a powered sander attached to a vacuum hose to minimize dust. The boxes will be primed and painted with two coats of paint. We typically spend (2-3) days completing this part of the process. At our spray shop your cabinets will have the same cleaning and sanding process completed. We will hang the cabinets so all sides will be evenly sprayed with primer and two coats of paint. Proper dry time between coats is very important for the paint to cure. The last step is to return to your home and install your beautiful, newly painted cabinet doors. The whole process is completed in about two weeks. 

 

3. TIME: Be realistic about your timeline expectations. Talk clearly with your professional about timeline expectations; how long will the job take, when can we expect the work to start, and Does the customer need to be home? These are all questions to ask/consider before the start of a job. Remember cure time is very important for lasting results.
